Back when I still used Visual Basic .NET as my language of choice, I put together Turbo Fingerspelling with Windows Forms for my American Sign Language teacher in high school.
She would have the program generate a list of words, it would spell each word out one ASL letter at a time onscreen, and then us students would try to write down each of the words correctly. I really liked being in her class, and ended up being kind of a brown-noser.
TurboFingerspelling might be one of the oldest programs I have written that is completely functional and still works to this day. That’s WinForms for you.
